WHAT IS RYLA?    RYLA is an intensive, one-week leadership training program for current and potential youth leaders.

 

THE RYLA AGENDA

Using a small-group format with presentations and lots of opportunity for group discussion, successful candidates will look at the following topics:

 

  •  Keys to understanding ourselves and others
  •  The importance of communication in effective leadership
  •  Elements of community and global leadership
  •  Goal-setting
  •  Motivation
  •  Styles of leadership
  •  What makes an effective leader
  •  Group dynamics
  •  Ethics
  •  Critical thinking
  •  Rotary's purpose and service to the community

 

Presentations will feature a variety of speakers from a variety of leadership perspectives.

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

_ Young adult's 18-25, male, female, married or single.

_ Rotarians and their families are eligible to participate.

_ Must have graduated from Grade 12.

_ Should hold a position of leadership or have displayed leadership potential.
